Week 1. Dec. 8th
My name is Charles Barrington. My country of Great Britain has recently entered the first World War. We have created an alliance with France and Russia, and now we are formally known as allies. Germany seems increasingly proud of their new empire's military power and industrial leadership. The reason for our country entering the war is due to our Triple Entente. We are currently trying to prevent France from being captured as to fill our obligations as allies. We are going to honor our treaty, and try to keep our alliance strong. I graduated from high school about five years ago. My leaving for the war has affected my family and I deeply. My wife of two years will stay at home with my one year old son, and take care of the house while I am gone away. My wife is also a nurse, who helps the injured in the war to recover.

Epic News! Archduke Franz Ferdinand Assassinated! Blog Entry:
Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his family.
The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary was on June 28th, 1914. This man's assassination really set off this war. The Archduke and his wife made a trip to Sarajevo, when the Black Hand made their attack on the Archduke, and his wife Sophie. I fear that this will make a large impact on the war. This clip contains short footage of the trip to Sarajevo.

Russia has exited the war. This is good and bad news for us, as the U.S is entering the war at this time. With Russia out of the war troops will be allowed to transfer to the Western front, but it also gives the Italians one less country to worry about. The U.S, although before had no intention of entering the war. It is possible that we may we allie with Russia, and send aid that is strongly needed.
Russia has exited the war.
Week 3. Dec.25th
Last night was one of the largest surprises of the war yet. It was my turn to take watch out of the trenches, when I heard voices from the enemy growing closer. I readied my aim to realize that these voices were to call a temporary truce. My men and I exited the trenches to be confronted with gifts such a chocolate and cigarettes. As the evening went on my very own enemy and I told jokes, shared gifts, and ate a filling meal, I wish it would last.

Week 4. Treaty of Versailles
After all this time, the war has finally come to an end. On June 28th, the Treaty of Versailles was signed near Paris terminating this war. I can't believe it is over. We lost so many people, so many friends. I will take a moment to look at the bright side. Soon, I will be home to my dearly missed wife and son. I can't wait to see how my son has grown. Another advance is that we will pick up a few additional colonies. Our relationship with France has grown. Thank God for getting me this far. We are finally at peace.
